Foreword: The day before , regardless of Ramadan hectic traffic I left office at 545pm sharp to Wondermilk, just to get a box of 4 cupcakes which it had been haunting me for few days, at the same time I bought a velvet cake as my mate’s breakfast. And of course i never forget about their super delicious, low calorie and healthy Mighty ranch chicken salad. I had been eating it as dinner for 2 days in a row, but still find it tasty so I was thinking I might be able to take it as a meal replacement for the whole July to loss some weight. I am confident not to give up halfway if all the meal replacements were as tasty as Wondermilk’s Mighty ranch chicken salad. There I went home with 3 shopping bag of yummy food, it waved away the emo come from the terrible traffic.
I had a plan on Saturday, the day without the companion of my mate, I threw myself a English tea party to date and indulge myself. I always have a thing for english high tea. Since I was studying in University, I used to spend my free time or study week in this cafe named Winter Warmers which was kind of famous for their hi-tea served on english tea-ware.
Years later, I had my first traditional English hi-tea in Betty’s Tea Room in York during the first year studying in UK; then moderm English hi-tea Sketch in London; classic one from St James’s Restaurant, Fortnum & Mason; and more hi-tea in unknown tea room in other suburban area. All these tea sessions gradually turned me into a real English vintage tea-ware lover, and I started wishing for tea all the time.
I happened to bought a tea-set for one in Debenhams , where Royal Albert tea-ware were having 100 years anniversary sale for all the tea-ware. The whole series got my attention, especially this mint green polkadots tea set for one, then I found myself brought the set to the cashier and its was home with me in a dark green Debenhams shopping bag.
With the cute elegant tea-set, I had hi-tea almost everyday in UK. But I get rid off the habits after moved back to KL, and it was kept in the dark & dusty corner. After years of living without hi-tea at home, when I brought it out and wiped off the dust, I find it charming as it was. Let’s have tea!!
I was behind of my working schedule, with the lovely hi-tea, I could work in a more productive way.
Among all 4 flavours, I love chocolate orange flavour most, it wasn’t too sweet with a scent of orange. The white tea and cupcakes was good, but also could be the tea-ware that made me feel rather good. Get a set and have your own hi-tea on your bed today. xoxo
